The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced the rescheduled date for the Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) 2024 preliminary exam. The re-examination will take place on 29th December 2024, following errors found in the previous exam’s Kannada translation, held on 27th August 2024. The exam aims to fill 384 vacancies in Groups A and B positions across various government departments in Karnataka.

Re-Examination Reason and Announcement

On 1st September 2024, the Karnataka Chief Minister announced that the KAS prelims would be rescheduled due to translation errors in the question paper. These errors caused confusion among Kannada medium students, prompting complaints from candidates. Following these issues, the officials responsible for the errors were relieved of their duties. To maintain transparency and fairness, the Chief Minister assured candidates that no stone would be left unturned to ensure a smooth and error-free re-examination process.
